The NSD Elites is our very own competition team, which began back in 2015. What was a small team of 8 hopeful students has now grown to a thriving team of 30-40 aspiring young artists.

​The NSD Elites compete in dance festivals, conventions and showcases in Surrey and surrounding areas throughout the year, and attend extra weekly classes to train and rehearse for these events.

​

We look for desire, dedication, ambition and talent and the team is via invitation only.

All NSD Elite members must attend dance classes in a variety of dance styles at NSD.

If current or aspiring students have enquiries about the team, we offer support, encouragement and further training to guide them towards their goals. 

​

We promote a nurturing environment, where dancers are encouraged to work as a team, look out for one another and strive to improve, whilst making positive memories and lifelong friendships.

​

Our dancers became All England National Finalists in 2017, 2022, 2024 and 2026.

Several of our dancers have competed in the ISTD Janet Cram Finals throughout the past decade. 

In 2026, three of our dancers were named winners and runners up at the RAD South East Awards Day.

In 2022, our Junior Team received the 'Terrific Technique' award at Rush Dance Championships.

In 2017, our Senior team won the British Red Cross' Dance: Make your Move Heat, going on to perform for a wonderful cause at the O2 arena.

 

Past NSD Elite dancers have gone on to audition and train at full-time professional dance colleges including London Studio Centre, Rambert School, Laine Theatre Arts, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Performers College and Wilkes Academy. ​
